Day 1 – Arrival in Djanet → Iharadj → El Akif

From Djanet to the First Trekking Landscapes
Travelers arrive in Djanet during the night and spend their first night at the hotel to rest before the trek begins.
The following morning, our team picks them up at 9:00 AM. After a short visit to the Djanet market, the group travels towards Iharadj, where lunch is planned before the trek begins.
In the afternoon, the trek starts on foot towards El Akif. This first stage takes approximately two hours of walking and offers an immediate introduction to the spectacular canyon landscapes and rock formations of the region.
Spectacular Canyons and Dunes Among the Rocks
The day begins early at El Akif. After breakfast, the group continues the trek through the rocky landscapes of Tassili N'Ajjer.
Along the way, the route crosses beautiful canyons and rocky passages, where erosion has sculpted impressive formations. Among these rocks, beautiful sand dunes appear, creating a remarkable contrast.
The walk continues to Emahe an Kil Djanet, where the group stops for lunch.
In the afternoon, the trek resumes through the desert landscapes towards Taloudtedjart. The group reaches the bivouac site at the end of the day, sets up camp and spends the night in the heart of the desert.

Day 3 – Taloudtedjart → Agzel
Discovering Agzel and Its Guelta
The day begins at Taloudtedjart with a discovery of the remarkable landscapes of the region. A short visit also offers the opportunity to see several rock-art sites before continuing the trek.
The group then descends towards the Agzel wadi, heading towards the Agzel area, where lunch is planned.
After lunch, the group sets out to discover the Agzel guelta. An approximately two-hour walk allows participants to explore the landscapes around the guelta and fully enjoy this natural environment.
At the end of the day, the group returns to Agzel. Dinner is served at the camp, followed by a peaceful evening in the heart of the desert before spending the night at the bivouac.
Day 4 – Agzel → Tilliline
Through the Green Valley of Agzel
The day begins early at Agzel with breakfast before continuing the trek towards Tilliline.
The route crosses the Agzel Valley, where the landscape can sometimes take on a green appearance thanks to the grasses growing along the valley floor. This stage offers a striking contrast with the surrounding desert environment.
Along the way, several stops provide an opportunity to discover rock-art sites, witnesses to ancient human presence in this part of Tassili N'Ajjer.
The trek continues through the valley landscapes to Tilliline, where lunch is planned.
After lunch, the group continues exploring the surrounding area and enjoys the exceptional landscapes of Tilliline before reaching the camp.
Day 5 – Tilliline → Tikoubaouine → Iwalalatan
From Tilliline to Tikoubaouine and Iwalalatan
The day begins at Tilliline after breakfast. The group resumes the trek towards Tikoubaouine, crossing the varied landscapes of Tassili N'Ajjer.
The walk continues through the dunes and valleys of the region to Tikoubaouine, where lunch is planned.
After lunch, the group continues towards Iwalalatan, crossing the rocky and desert landscapes of Tassili N'Ajjer.
Arrival at Iwalalatan at the end of the day. Dinner, camp setup and overnight stay in the heart of the desert.
Day 6 – Iwalalatan → Trois Arbres → Essendilène
From Iwalalatan to Essendilène Through the Landscapes of Tassili
The day begins at Iwalalatan after breakfast. The group resumes the trek towards Trois Arbres, through the remarkable natural landscapes of Tassili N'Ajjer.
Along the way, the route crosses several valleys and rocky passages, offering beautiful natural scenery as well as several rock-art sites bearing witness to the ancient history of the region.
Arrival at Trois Arbres, where lunch is planned.
After lunch, the trek continues towards Essendilène. The walk proceeds through the desert landscapes and rock formations of Tassili N'Ajjer until reaching the famous Essendilène oasis.
Camp is set up at Essendilène, followed by dinner and an overnight stay in the heart of the oasis.
Day 7 – Essendilène → Djanet
Final Stage at Essendilène Before Returning to Djanet
The day begins early at Essendilène, after breakfast. The group sets out on foot to discover the Essendilène guelta. The round trip takes approximately four hours of walking.
Along the way, the route allows participants to discover the landscapes and natural formations of Essendilène, as well as the room associated with French writer Roger Frison-Roche, whose famous account Le Rendez-vous d’Essendilène is connected with this region.
The walk also offers an opportunity to observe local wildlife and, with a little luck, encounter the wild desert squirrels found in the area.
Return to the camp for lunch.
After lunch, the vehicles are waiting to take the group back to Djanet.
Upon arrival in Djanet, check-in at the hotel, with time to take a shower and rest.
Dinner at the hotel.
Transfer to the airport according to the flight schedule.
