We follow the vast canyon of El Beridj, where wind-carved cliffs house many ancient rock paintings and engravings. After the magnificent orange dunes of MoulN’aga, a series of stunning Tassili landscapes lead us to the arches of Tamezguida. Through a maze of narrow canyons, we reach the vast amphitheater of Tin Merzouga, where endless dunes glow red at sunset.
Day 4
On foot, we explore the Giacometti-like sculptures of the Ouanaguen cirque, where multicolored sands frame finely carved sandstone forms. Through a tangle of grassy wadis and dunes, we reach our bivouac at Tin Tehak by vehicle.
Day 5
Morning walk to discover the many rock paintings and engravings in the In Djaren wadi. After lunch, we head to Monkhor, surrounded by beautiful dunes. Bivouac nearby.
Day 6
We explore the Monkhor and Alidemma region. On-foot excursions to admire these breathtaking sites. Overnight bivouac.
Day 7
We cross the northern part of the Ténéré, a sea of sand with no relief or vegetation. Visit to the famous rock engravings of Tegharghart. Return to the Pleiades guesthouse for a refreshing shower before visiting Djanet. Dinner in the guesthouse garden, then transfer to the airport for the return flight.
