Day 1 – Arrival in Djanet
Arrival at Djanet Airport, where our team welcomes you. Transfer to a traditional guesthouse, free time to relax, and overnight stay before your Sahara adventure begins.
Day 2 – Djanet to Ihrir Oasis
After breakfast, we travel by 4×4 to the remote Tuareg village of Ihrir, a UNESCO World Heritage Site hidden within Tassili n'Ajjer National Park. Explore traditional mud-brick houses and enjoy gentle walks along palm-lined wadis filled with oleanders. Overnight in a traditional Tuareg house.
Day 3 – Hiking Through Oued Idaren
Today's trek follows the lush Oued Idaren, famous for its rich vegetation, crystal-clear springs, and picturesque Tuareg settlements. This unique valley offers an extraordinary contrast between fertile landscapes and the surrounding Sahara Desert.
Day 4 – Across the Dider Plateau
Leaving the green oasis behind, we enter the vast plains of Dider. The scenery changes dramatically as palm groves give way to sandstone formations, open desert, and golden sands. Along the way, we encounter traditional Tuareg nomadic camps and experience the timeless beauty of the Algerian Sahara.
Day 5 – Tin Taghirt & Téhé n'Emintanamast
Discover the spectacular prehistoric rock engravings of Tin Taghirt, among the finest examples of Saharan rock art. We then cross the Dider Plateau before reaching the magnificent canyons and natural springs of Téhé n'Emintanamast, where we spend the night in a peaceful desert camp.
Day 6 – Essendilène Canyon & Tikoubaène
Descend into the breathtaking Essendilène Oasis, renowned for its emerald pools, towering canyon walls, palm trees, and blooming oleanders. The journey continues to Tikoubaène, famous for its impressive natural sandstone arch.
Day 7 – Erg Admer & Tegharghart
Travel across the magnificent dunes of Erg Admer before visiting Tegharghart, home to the legendary Crying Cow rock engraving, one of the most iconic prehistoric artworks in the Sahara.
after lunch Return to the guesthouse in Djanet for a well-deserved shower and some relaxation. If time permits, visit the Archaeological Museum, the Old Fort, and the local handicraft market before enjoying a farewell dinner. Later, transfer to Djanet Airport for your return flight.
