Sefar Tour: Discover the Ancient Cave City of Tassili n'Ajjer

In the heart of the Algerian Sahara lies a world shaped by the wind and time with infinite patience. A place where absolute silence surrounds every step, where each path leads deeper into mystery, and where the rocks tell the story of forgotten civilizations.

This is Sefar, the legendary cave city, hidden for centuries and revealed to the world by the Tuareg guide Jibril. A fascinating, awe-inspiring, and deeply spiritual place. A journey that will stay with you forever.

The Tassili Plateau: A UNESCO World Treasure

The Tassili Plateau is one of the world's greatest archaeological treasures.

It is home to thousands of prehistoric rock paintings and engravings preserved inside caves, rock shelters, and sandstone formations.

This fragile heritage has survived thanks to the isolation of the Tassili and can only be reached on foot.

To reach Sefar, Tamrit, or Jabbaren, you must walk—often for many hours. Yet every step brings you closer to one of the most extraordinary prehistoric landscapes on Earth.

Our experienced Tuareg team and mule caravan will accompany you on this unforgettable trek to one of the world's largest open-air prehistoric museums.
